Print

Print utilities let you select elements that should be displayed on a screen and/or when printing the page. It also allows you to manage page break for each element.

Display

Use classes ecl-u-print-only or ecl-u-screen-only to display an element respectively only when printing the page, or only when displaying it on screen.

Page break

Several classes are available to handle page break when printing.
There are three main options: force a page break, avoid page break, and get back to default mode (auto) Most of these options can be applied before, after, or within an element.

Here is the full list of possibilities:

  • ecl-u-break-before-page: force a page break before the element
  • ecl-u-break-before-avoid: prevent page break before an element
  • ecl-u-break-before-auto: reset page break before element to default value
  • ecl-u-break-after-page: force a page break after the element
  • ecl-u-break-after-avoid: prevent page break after an element
  • ecl-u-break-after-auto: reset page break after element to default value
  • ecl-u-break-inside-avoid: prevent page break inside an element (for long elements)
  • ecl-u-break-inside-auto: reset page break inside element to default value

Note that these rules will be applied as best as possible by the browser. In some complex cases, it may not work as expected.
